This Privacy Policy explains how PSCD (Pacific Software Development Company) ("we", "us", "our"), the developer named on the Google Play store listing, collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the VeloX GPS Speedometer mobile application ("the App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. It collects the following data:

• Location data (precise / GPS and approximate). The App uses your device's precise GPS location to measure your speed, distance and route in real time (its core function), and to look up nearby speed limits and speed cameras. Approximate location may also be used to serve advertising. Location is processed on your device and, for road-data lookups, sent to OpenStreetMap servers to retrieve the relevant road information.
• Advertising identifier (Advertising ID). Our advertising partner Google AdMob collects your device's Advertising ID to display and measure ads.
• Device and usage information. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, IP address, and in-app activity (for example, which features are used and when a trip is completed). This is collected for analytics via Google Firebase Analytics.

Trip history (your recorded trips, distances, and routes) is stored locally on your device only. We do not upload or store your trip history on our servers.

2. How We Use Information

• App functionality — to display your current speed, record trips, and show road speed limits and speed-camera alerts.
• Analytics — to understand how the App is used and to improve stability and features.
• Advertising — to display and measure in-app advertisements.

3. Sharing of Information / Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the third-party services the App relies on:

• Google AdMob (advertising) — receives the Advertising ID and approximate location for ad delivery and measurement. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Firebase / Google Analytics (analytics) — receives device and usage information. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• OpenStreetMap (map & road data) — receives coordinates to return nearby road speed limits and cameras. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.

All data transmitted off the device is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Trip data stays on your device until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Data collected by the third-party services above is retained according to their own policies. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below.

5. Your Choices

• Location permission — you can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device Settings; the speedometer requires location to function.
• Advertising — you can reset or limit ad personalization via your device's Advertising ID settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
• Consent — where required (e.g., the EEA/UK), the App presents a consent choice for personalized advertising before ads are served.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

The App may be used worldwide. Where applicable (including under the EU GDPR and UK GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
